Many people do not know that insurance companies reimburse them back for massage or other alternative therapies. Not all insurance companies reimburse you but some do. Such as, Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Also if you have Flexible spending account (FSA), which most companies offer, they reimburse you 100% of what you paid for your treatment.
If you do not know what FSA is ask your manager. It is an amount you wish to take out of your paycheck for this account. Let's say you want $1000 for the year. The money is taken out tax free monthly. The government will send you a credit card which you can start using right away. You can pay your doctor bills, use it for medications at the pharmacy, over the counter medicines, etc. The $1000 you take out to use is the full amount. It is taken out before taxes so you are not getting any taxes taken out of this full amount.
After the treatment you choose I will mail you an itemized bill to submit into your insurance company and/or Flexible spending account. You will see if your insurance company will reimburse you or not. FSA they reimburse you full amount.
The trick also with FSA is when you submit any itemized bill, say from the doctor or any other alternative therapies, fax them a copy and mail a copy in. You will receive your check by the following week. They are quick in reimbursing you.
They also have a household spending account where you save for child care. Ask your human resources department about these accounts. If you do not use it by the end of the year the government takes the leftover money in your account. Believe me. That money goes quicker than you think. Before you know it you will run out before you have any left.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Even if it has nothing to do with massage bills. I can let you know from my experience when I had the flexible spending account.
